UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!!!!!!
If there's anything else I need to discuss, or you have idea, please post below.
As we all know, all cats are Jellicle cats. BUT, not all Jellicle cats are in the same tribe, nor do they follow the same customs.
In this RPG, we focus on two tribes of cats. One is known as the Junkyard Tribe or Munkustrap's Tribe, though it is also sometimes just referred to as the Jellicle Tribe. The other is the Warehouse, or Macavity's Tribe. If created characters are ever allowed in the RPG, they will be non-affiliated with any tribe, meaning they're technically 'Strays', even if owned by humans.
Below we discuss customs and how they differ between the tribes.
Humble Beginnings and Traditions
The "Jellicle" Tribe is decades old, and is run in a "monarchical" fashion, where one cat is in charge, based on lineage. However, it is 'democratic' in the sense that everyone's voice his heard on all matters. While it has not always belonged to the Junkyard, Munkustrap's ancestors have held the tribe together for nearly as long as cats have lived in London. There are few older tribes in London, and thus, it has remained very traditional. They are generally welcoming of Humans
The Warehouse Tribe is a comparatively new tribe. When Macavity's father, the rightful leader-to-be of the Junkyard tribe, was denied (given to his brother, Deuteronomy instead) due to his uneven temper and radical behavior, he left the tribe, beginning his own. The tribe originated from a group of renegade "Jellicles", several strays, alley cats, and even pirate cats, that cared little for tradition or for humans in general, though there are always a few exceptions.
Central Location
Easily determined by the name, the Junkyard Tribe makes their home in an abandoned Junkyard in South London. There is no human disturbance, so members are able to make permanent residence in the Junkyard.
Macavity's Tribe, or the Warehouse Tribe, resides in an abandoned warehouse by the docks. For them also, lack of human disturbance allows them to live comfortably within.
In both tribes, some members live in the center of operations, while others have human homes, though being more social by nature, the Junkyard Tribe is more likely to live with humans.
Gender Roles
Munkustrap's (formerly Old Deuteronomy's) Tribe put very little value on gender as far as the ability to have a position of leadership. While recently there haven't been any female leaders or protectors, this is because of lineage and birthright rather than gender.
Queens are not allowed positions of leadership in Macavity's Tribe, regardless of strength or ability. The one exception is the Leader's "Choice" mate, who is titled the "High Queen", though she holds no power except over the other queens.
