SANCTIFER
She truly had some nerve. Or was a fool to touch him like that. Actually, her move had taken him aback and he recoiled a bit instinctively. He put his own hand over hers as a smile grew back to his lips, but instead of being sarcastic, it was a truer one, even if a small and quick to disappear one. He had to admit her touch had been nice - he had almost purred - not as his mother had done to him, she had never been the careful mother type, but he had grown to nevermind it anyway. He firmly, but carefully took Polaris' hand in his and removed it from his face. 'Thanks I suppose. But you shouldn't assume I'm something or other, I could very well be faking.' he finaly said, letting go of her hand. 'That's why I want to talk. So you and I can know whether the other is sincere or playing.'

POLARIS
Polaris just gave a small smile back at his words, she had saw the small smile appear the disappear across his features so she safely assumed that he was not telling the full truth in his words. The fact that his paw had lingered on hers a little longer then she supposed he intended before taking it off of his cheek also didn’t go amiss. Not giving any reaction to the fact that he hadn’t let got of her hand she just looked into his eyes and spoke again. “That is a possibility,” she told him softly not looking away, “but I can honestly tell you I’m not pretending. I refuse to pretend I’m something I’m not no matter who I’m talking to.” Giving his hand a gently squeeze to prove her point she let another small smile cross her features, “So now that you know I’m not pretending are you going to tell me if you are?”

'I'm always pretending.' he replied. Pretend, the story of his life. He pretented to enjoy being here, enjoy doing things that wasn't pleasent, killing, bullying, even though it could seem a nice way to pass his frustration of being leftover onto someone, but it was just an ersatz, he didn't enjoy inflicting pain, it just added to his frustration and his feeling of being used. Just once he'd like not to pretend. But could he? And with her? Her hand in his, pressing it said yes. But still... He had been watching her from afar and she seemed rather nice, shy... she always did what she was told. Yet, she had showed some strength. Was she hinding who she really was? 'Could I make an exception with you?' it was almost if begging. And he didn't hate himself for that.

Polaris smiled brightly up at him inching a little closer to show him that she was no longer afraid. “You don’t have to pretend anymore,” she told him still looking into his eyes, she could see his wanting to just be himself, “You never have to pretend with me. I don’t care about your rank, how you act or how you look. I‘ll willingly be that on exception where you can just be yourself.” She was beginning to warm up to the grey tom, he just needed someone there for him. Someone who he didn’t have to hide behind a mask for.

Well, it was nice - surprising though, he almost not believed his ears, as if he had heard something he had wanted to hear, not what she actually had said, yet, such eyes couldn't lie, could they? - to hear such a thing, it did soothe his mind. He wasn't sure why he had asked her such a thing, he hadn't imagined it happening that way. He had seen them having a conversation, getting to know each other slowly. Him having to convince her he wasn't that bad or something. Maybe what had happened was best. 'Well.. thanks.' he replied at last, letting go of her hand.

Placing her now free hand behind her back and clasping it together with her other one the smile never left her face or her eyes. The atmosphere around them had changed completely from cautious and scared to a lighter more comfortable one. “Your very welcome,” she replied flicking her tail back and forth happily, “So you know so much about me now what about you? May I ask about your life?” He intrigued her, for being a brother to some of the highest ranking toms in the warehouse he didn’t seem as cruel or cold hearted as them. He was different.

'My life? Well, what do you want to know about it? I mean, it was pretty dull, all things considered... I'm just the youngest offspring of what could be called the Leader's spawn. Unnoticed mostly.' Well, somewhat... I guess killing someone was quite an adventure, and it was still required of him to show respect for the higher than he and show meanness and inflict pain. He did wonder how the other didn't grow tired of it.

“I guess we have both lived pretty dull lives,” she told him with a small soft smile, “You where ignored and I was alone. To be honest there isn’t much of a difference between the two.” It was true she assumed, being alone most of your life and being ignored seemed the same to her. No one to talk to or go to when you need them. She often wondered though what it was like to have siblings. “Why don’t we go outside for a bit?” she asked him looking around the dark corridor they where in, “It’s a lovely day outside.” Walking ahead a little she held her hand out for him to take and waited for his response. “So what is your job in the tribe?” she asked while she waited.

'Couldn't really say if it is, haven't been outside during the day for a while.' He answered at least. Truth was, he had been outside from time to time, but never to do pleasant things, so no day had been 'lovely'. 'As for my job.. guess you could say it's everything my siblings don't want to do, or have no time for it. Check the henchies and.. well, everything it emplies such dealing with the trouble that can arise between them... food supply, stuff like that.. Nothing exciting, you know?'
(made that up about Sanctifer's job in the tribe, though it's nothing official.. hope nobody mind)

“Well it was nice outside this morning when I was on my way here,” she answered him and running a hand through the headfur curls that sat on her shoulder, “I would be good for you to go out for a bit, don’t you think?” Her hand was still out stretched to him waiting for Sanctifier to move. “Hmm It’s more exciting then what I do,” she told him with a giggle, “I just have to wait around for other cats to boss me around and send me on meaningless errands.”

'I suppose.' But he wasn't sure he actually could. He had no official role that obliged him to stay inside. On the other hand, would anyone be looking for him and he wasn't here... well, he'd prefered not to think of what would happen. But she had made it seem rather appealing. Would he dare to go and face whatever consequence may come out of it afterwards? Or retreat and stay inside? It could hurt Polaris... though he would only turn down an offer to go outside, it was not as if she was giving him the world, even if going out freely may seem like the world. Quite a dilemma. Eventually, her smile won and at first he hesited but finally took her hand. 'Well, if I can save you even a few hours of harassment, guess it'd not be worthless...' he just hoped she'd not get into trouble... If needed he could make up a lie, it would not be that hard.

ZODIAC
"Zodiac" the ginger tom said surly. "And no they don't....... sir"
He eyed the tom, whilest Paige worked on cleaning his wounds. When she was done, he could feel a soft tingle on his chest where he scratched himself. Zodiac moved to stand beside Paige, facing the tom, never taking his arm from Paige's sholder.
"This would be the first time I-" Zodiac paused for a moment, trying to find the right words for what happened. "- lost control of my thoughts and emotions."

PAIGE
The young queen was getting increasingly more nervous as this conversation was going on. Paige had never talked to Atalo herself before, but she had heard plenty of things, and none of them were good. His bad reputation aside, Paige knew how close he was to Lysandra, and she couldn't possibly have said anything nice about the white and brown queen. Most of Paige's anxiety came from her over dramatic imagination that was making the entire situation seem alot worse then it actually was. She realized her mistake of using "mental breakdown" to describe what had happened. That phrase had many negative connotations, and this made Paige feel rather foolish. She didn't know what to think about Zodiac putting his arm around her shoulders. Paige had spent so much time by herself that she wasn't used to physical contact with other cats. For one, it actually felt kind of nice, Zodiac was trying to protect her and it made her feel special. On the other hand, Zodiac seemed to be showing some unnecessary hostility towards Atalo, which could only go badly. She didn't make a move to push the orange and black tom away, or make any real indication that she knew he was touching her at all. "My explanation might have been a little...inaccurate. Zodiac would know his own thoughts better then I would," she said, looking slightly ashamed of herself. She looked at Atalo as she spoke, but had to focus very hard to not be entranced by his eyes and the cooing way he spoke. She had to look right above his eyes so as to not stare at the ghostly shade of grey that inhabited the future Napoelan of Crime's eyes. Paige was a complete sucker for eyes.

(ATALO)
The ghostly white tom smirked faintly at Zodiac’s hostility towards him, and the napoleon eyed him over with a defiant stare. Atalo could appreciate a defensive demeanor, it was a way of survival after all, however; this tom needed to know where exactly his place was within the tribe, and fast. Atalo would only allow it to slip ONCE.
“Well Zodiac,” He started, clearing his throat as he encircled the pair, “ A bit of emotion won’t kill us, but to much will.” That was why Atalo remained the way he was; vague, distant, cold. The future napoleon unleashed his emotions only in the privacy of his own den, and around those he only felt comfortable with. Of course though, those emotions were revealed only in privacy as well.
Atalo placed a finger underneath Paige’s chin which allowed him to inspect the pretty little white queen’s face properly. She was pleasant to look at after all, and Atalo enjoyed those who were exceptionally pretty. Nevertheless, despite it all, Atalo did hold himself as a gentle tom of sorts and he refrained from making any sort of move on her in public.
“How would your explanation be inaccurate?” He asked, tilting his head slightly. “You told me exactly what you observed, there is nothing inaccurate about that my dear.” Atalo purred, shifting back into a stance of authority.

DAMENKA
Menka chuckled as he shook her head, looking down at the ground between her legs, "Yeah, well most cats in this place are pretty messed up, so it doesn't surprise me that they would be apposed to your thoughts." she sighed as she once again considered what the queen had said. "Protectors of the weak." To Menka that reminded her of the Jellicles, and a small fire rose in her stomach. Her lip raised in slight abhorrence and she scoffed at the thought of what the Jellicles stood for, "It's what you said that makes us different from those pathetic Jellicles... stronger than them." Menka took another moment to stare at the ground, her hatred building slowly inside her, before she took a deep breath and looked back up at the queen. She smiled casually, forgetting about the goody-goody tribe (and father) she detested so much, "By the way, I'm Damenka."
